Beneath the Surface

These images reveal the fine processes of neurons within the brain, each approximately 100 times finer than a single human hair. Captured at high-resolution in 3D using state-of-the-art fluorescence microscopy at the University of Queensland's, Queensland Brain Institute. With thanks to Prof. Linda Richards lab at the Queensland Brain Institute for allowing me to image the samples.

These works were released as limited edition prints as part of Beneath the Surface, 2016, with 100% of the profits from the sales donated to schizophrenia research.
